How to calculate the concentration of essential oils?



Concentration is the percentage of essential oil in the total mixture.
Here are some simple rules:

1% concentration = 1 drop of oil for every 5 ml of carrier oil.

0.5% concentration = 1 drop for every 10 ml of carrier oil.

1 drop of oil is approximately 0.05 ml.

For example:
If you want to prepare 10 ml of the mixture (approx. 2 small teaspoons):

for 1% concentration – add 2 drops of essential oil,

for 0.5% concentration – add 1 drop.
